Note : When you get to Clifton River do not proceed any further if the river is too deep for you to cross. It is for this reason you must phone when you leave the last town so that we know when to expect you, should you need assistance in crossing the river. Cell reception is very poor on the gravel road. Most times the river is only a small puddle, which any car can cross.

RIVER CROSSING:
You need to come across the river to reach your accommodation. Most cars have no problem crossing at low flow. Please note that the river bed is uneven even when there is a very low flow.  Should you opt to cross the river in your own car, you do so at your own risk.  If you would rather leave your vehicle on the other side we will gladly fetch you in a 4x4 vehicle. The crossing river is approximately 500m from the accommodations.
