The beautiful, rolling, malaria-free Karoo countryside 60km north west of the quaint and historic little town of Cradock and only 100 km east of Graaff-Reinet, with a healthy climate lies Clifton Game Farm, the home of Karoo Pred-A-Tours.
In addition to the peace and quiet of the vast Karoo scenery, there are opportunities for hiking and birding, the wonderful game viewing thanks to the vast numbers and great diversity of species as well as the rare species found only here. Karoo Pred-A-Tours is a guest farm cum wildlife experience with something a little different.
Karoo Pred-A-Tours is also home to a program designed to protect and bring to public awareness the lesser known cats of the Karoo: the Caracal (also called the Lynx by South Africans), the African Wild Cat (the ancestor of the modern domestic cat), the Small Spotted Cat and the unusual looking Serval. To read more about our cats please visit the “wildcats” page. Here you can see and “visit” these seldom seen animals.
